Happy International Women’s Day

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together, we can forge women’s equality. Collectively, we can do it all International Women’s Day 2024 campaign theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world.  And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. #InspireInclusion

 

This International Women’s Day, 8 March 2024, join the United Nations in celebrating under the theme Invest in women: Accelerate progress.  On this day, we recognize the challenges women still face around the world from gender apartheid in Iran and Afghanistan to famine and heartbreaks in Gaza and heartache of families who await the return of the hostages, to assault on women’s rights and LGBTQ rights here in the US and beyond.  It is also a day to celebrate the accomplishments, such as enshrining the reproductive rights in the constitution of California and France. While we recognize the challenges and the long road ahead, we also recognize the need to invest in women who thrive across all sectors. These challenges can only be addressed by solutions that empower women. By investing in women, we can spark change and speed the transition towards a healthier, safer, and more equal world for all.

 

Today, IADC gives a nod to the writers, the poets, the artists, the doctors, the educators, the financiers, the lawmakers, the philanthropists, and the caregivers that color the world with the unique perspective of women! Collectively, let’s forge a more inclusive world for women.
