2024 CANDIDATES FOR LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL POSITIONS ON
CA geberal election – November 5, 2024
PRIORITIES
- Academic excellence
- Financial responsibility and funding
- School safety
Why are you running:
My dedication has been and continues to be to provide safe, healthy, and equitable educational opportunities for every student, teacher, staff member, and parent in our public schools. I’m running again to guarantee all of Burbank’s children have access to the best public education and career preparation opportunities. These are challenging and uncertain times for our school district. Now, more than ever, we need leadership with experience to navigate these issues.

Burbank
PRIORITIES
- My top priority is to continue changing the way Burbank addresses the homeless crisis.
- I will lean on the newly designated Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Regional Housing Trust to fund affordable housing construction directly. I will also focus on increasing the amount of for-sale housing available in Burbank.
- The city is still dependent on fossil fuels for a majority of its energy use. This year, we piloted a new iron-flow battery technology and I am committed to adapting our new construction and power grid for a renewable future.
Why are you running:
I am running for reelection in Burbank to uphold the progress we’ve made, from tenants’ rights to gun control to tackling wages and police funding. I’m committed to running a corporate-free campaign. To build a massive working people’s movement and fight for workers’ rights, we must start locally–and my reelection campaign for Burbank City Council will continue to reflect that vision.

Why are you running:

For me this issue is deeply personal as a lifelong tenant and someone who has experienced displacement and homelessness in my childhood. The 30th Congressional District has never been represented by a woman, and at a time when abortion rights are being rolled back across the US, and at a time when we have lost and are losing more of our female Congressional delegation in California, there is great enthusiasm by many residents in the district to elect their first female member of Congress. I am running a people-powered, grassroots campaign and will win by continuing to motivate activists and volunteers.
