The Iranian-American Democrats of California stand in solidarity with immigrants—our neighbors, coworkers, classmates, and family—who continue to shape the cultural, economic, and moral fabric of our state.
As a people who fled an authoritarian regime, we recognize the signs: the militarization of civil life, the escalation of fear, the targeting of the vulnerable. The Trump Administration’s deployment of the National Guard and U.S. Marines is not just unlawful, it is a calculated provocation meant to intimidate, silence, and divide. We reject the weaponization of the military against civilians. We believe in the dignity of every person and strongly oppose the use of force as a substitute for compassion, justice, and the rule of law.
We advocate for peaceful protest as guaranteed by the constitution . Let’s be clear, there is no foreign invasion in Southern California. Rather, we are witnessing a coordinated attempt by the Trump administration to divert attention from corruption and criminal accusations against Trump himself. We shall remain alert, active, and persistent in advocating for human rights, justice, and treating every member of the community, regardless of their immigration status, with dignity and respect.
In the face of fear, we remain committed to peaceful, non-violent resistance grounded in solidarity and the struggle for liberation.
