PRIORITIES

  • Creating real middle-class housing
I will promote policies and champion projects that create real middle-class housing.
  • Local business growth – Our mall is failing, small businesses are struggling, we have the highest unemployment in Ventura County, we have a budget deficit crisis, and our city is deeply divided along political and racial lines.
  • Community Service programs – I’ll advocate for much-needed social service programs that will not only benefit the community by creating jobs, but will also help with crime prevention.

PRIORITIES

  • Bring healthcare to the needy -I want to open a VA clinic, a low income healthcare clinic, a second Hospital on the east side, and a Planned Parenthood clinic in town
  • Housing for all – advocate for the unhoused and increase access to affordable housing
  • Promote green energy – I believe global warming is an immediate and existential threat to life on our planet.

LET’S USE OUR HUMANITY TO MAKE SANTA CLARITA THRIVE.

PRIORITIES

  • Housing – We need housing of all income levels in West Hollywood and a thoughtful analysis of our zoned capacity as a city to equitably distribute new housing across the city.
  • Transportation – We have a muddled and inefficient set of tools that need to be elevated into a comprehensive, dynamic and thoughtful network of resources to mobilize our community. This includes a completed network of safe bike lanes, visible parking resources, and transportation services for the senior and disabled community.
  • Social Services -Our rental assistance program is the most significant tool we have to keep people from becoming unhoused. Our pilot guaranteed income program needs long term funding and the behavioral crisis response unit should be fully funded to 24//7 wrap around support.

  • Affordable housing is critical yet I will support our local businesses and never put them at risk by rezoning our thriving shopping centers to include housing.
  • Work to include YOUR voice in the decisions made for the city, promoting transparency and representation.

My success is built on listening to the needs of the people I serve to arrive at the best solutions in a collaborative way.

PRIORITIES

  • Accessibility – with 1 out of every 8 Laguna Hills residents retired or approaching retirement and 1 out every 12 folks ages 65+ living by themselves, there is an immediate need to build stronger partnerships and programs to support the aging and elderly adults in our community.
  • Preservation and Wildfire Prevention – Laguna Hills has had two really close calls with major wildfires, hence I plan to promote safety policies while advocating for strategic growth that continues to help our city meet its housing and business needs.
  • Art, Culture, and Education – There is an incredible untapped potential in our beautiful city to do more art, cultural, and educational programs, and benefit our community and bring new dollars into our city.

PRIORITIES

  • HOUSING AFFORDABILITY & RENTER’S RIGHTS –  I am laser-focused on the growing crisis of housing and housing affordability. I will work in support of efforts to expand and preserve rent stabilization, incentivize or mandate additional affordable, high density mixed use development, and reduce red tape preventing additional alternative housing such as ADUs, split lots, conversions.
  • PUBLIC SAFETY – Creating a safe WeHo means recognizing the concerns and working to minimize the ill effects of bias in our law enforcement.
  • HOMELESSNESS – We must explore proven and fresh ideas to attack this problem head on. This starts with looking at the causes of homelessness and addressing this epidemic from that perspective, i.e. 4 categories: (1) financial distress/intimate partner violence/familial desertion, (2) mental illness, (3) substance abuse, and (4) insufficient options to meet the needs of the unhoused.  Eliminating homelessness helps us all.
